Annalisa Liccardo received her BSc (cum laude) in electrical engineering and PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy, in 2003 and 2006, respectively. From 2013 to 2016, she was a tenured researcher at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Naples Federico II, where she has been an associate professor since 2016. She is currently coordinating research activities with the most important Italian companies in the field of electricity distribution and transmission, with the aim of building support structures to safely assess the performance of methods based on digital signal processing for network stability measurements in wide area monitoring systems, defining and implementing a suitable method for the assessment of uncertainty in the estimation of technical and commercial losses in electricity distribution networks, and defining and implementing an Internet-of-Things (IoT) based monitoring platform for the identification of partial electrical discharges in underground distribution networks. She has authored or coauthored more than 100 papers published in peer-reviewed journals and proceedings of international conferences and workshops. Her current research interests include advanced measurements for monitoring and protection of electrical systems, IoT sensors for electrical measurements, distributed measurement systems and remote laboratory based on augmented reality (AR). Dr Liccardo is a member of the Italian Society of Electrical and Electronic Measurements. She has received several awards for both her articles and research results. She is involved in the editorial board of several international journals and has served on the technical committee of several conferences and workshops.
